Adding black into the home can be quite overwhelming as we tend to feel black is such a dark colour that will make the spaces in the home too dark and lifeless. Black actually is a grounding colour and it helps to add dimension and enhances other colours and shapes. If you are not quite ready to add black to walls or large pieces of furniture, you can add it in the use of accessories. Adding black accents adds interest and contrast into a space. Black has a grounding effect that gives the eye a place to rest in a room. You don’t actually need a lot of black just a few accessories to tie the space together.
